Favorite Summer BargainsLooking for some inexpensive summer fun in Tucson? Also I sleep outside before it get too hot (in my backyard) any 7-11 bo Mud Pies Me and my two kids get some choclate pudding and we get some gummy worms and other kind of candy that looks like bugs and we sit on the floor and act like we are eating real mud pies you have never seen two kids laugh as hard when you have a choclate worm hanging out of your mouth. Homemade Tiffany apache lake Well my family is kinda old school! Every summer we would wait for the kids to get out of school pack up our cars with tents and blankets food and stuff to make smores of course, and head out to Apache Lake. It is probably one of the most beautiful places to go in Arizona! Every day is spent in the water to keep cool and the nights you spend with your loved ones laughing and looking at the stars. I know it is not some fancy resort but the time spent with family and the water of course makes it worth the it! Maybe quick trip to San Diego and water? Smitty Chilled Watermelon/Cold Swimming Pool/Fireworks Our four granddaughters, my husband and I will be watching the fireworks from the Hilton from our backyard pool. We spent the 4th of July yearly do this plus the girls make my husband a birthday cake his was born on the 6th. Push Ridge/Hilton Resort/My backyard Nana Rosie Slidewinder Most often we cool off at home by playing in the sprinkler and eating Otter Pops. Occasionally we cool off at The Westin La Paloma and slide down the waterslide, Slidewinder. The boys love the smoothies and fun pool activities. Tucson Mom Chilling at the Library This is great and free. I just go to the library to cool off in the air conditioned building and I grab a good book (I travel to exotic places in an armchair) and start reading. Any of Tucson's Public Libraries Nancy having fun and staying cool My kids are grow but summer time is for family fun. Movies seeing relatives and just getting together and seeing my grandson every weekend and during lunch or taking him to swim lessons. tucson bonnie Bliss at home in the desert I grew up in Imperial Valley, CA so I am from the desert. I absolutely love the high desert and the Tucson area. I wake up every morning and say, " I love ARIZONA!" But I love walking outside my house and taking pictures of the summer sunsets. I have so many beautiful pictures and they take my breath away. My facebook has one on there because the sunsets here are undescribale. So taking pictures is a low cost way to look and enjoy ARIZONA! :) Sahuarita, AZ Cyd Park, Movies, Icecream, Reading I like to take a nice long walk. My favorite place is Rancho Sahuarita Lake (although I live 12 miles south of there). I can turn off my cell phone and enjoy the walk. I also like to enjoy icecream and a movie during the heat of the day. I often relax in the evening by reading a novel (Dean Koontz). Casas Adobes shopping center on Oracle leen Going North I would love to get a cabin in Lakeside, AZ like our family did one time. We took a walk, had french toast at Mama Bear's Country restaurant, watched movies, played board games and enjoyed the thunderstorms. The desert smells amazing and if there is water in the stream it is great to take off yoru boots and cool your feet for a while!
