My family discovered this indoor family fun game last summer. It all started when my young son saw the MARVEL (comic book charcters) bowling ball after an evening of bowling. When inquiring about how much the ball would be to purchase, we were givin information about the kids summer league. We had a great time as a mom and son team and when I couldn't make it there were absolutely no problems with dad or older sister filling in. I learned how to keep bowling score (something I never knew before) and my son got his superhero bowling ball at the end of the league.The price to do this was unbelievably low. Bowling has become our unexspected, but favorite family pass time especialy during our AZ summers. Indoors, A/C, snack bar, music & cold beer for dad = A great time for my family.

It the summer it seems that I can never get my body core cool enough. So i eat ice, you might just say I'm a connoisseur of ice. Sonic has the best, then AM/PM or really just good crushed ice well turn my HOT summer around.

Love nicy juicy cold watermelon in the summer. When my children they used to have competitions see who could spit there seed the fathest. Now I have grandchildren and I'm sure thet will be taught how to enjoy watermelon and learn the art of "spitting"! Their seed that is!!

Movie theater popcorn!!

Nothing better than spending a couple hours inside a nice air conditioned building, watching your favorite movie on the big screen, while munchin on movie theater popcorn with lots and lots of butter and salt!!! The best ever!!!! :)

Westin La Paloma

One of my favorite ways to cool off is to go down the water slide at Westin La Paloma. I can also have a drink at the swim up bar! Then, I can relax in the air-conditioned room and watch TV! Nobody even has to know that I am in town! I also like to go to Dairy Queen and have an ice cream float or go to Eegees for an Eegees drink .

Mt Lemmon of Course!!!

Mt Lemmon is the best and coolest getaway! The ski lift is awesome. We all need to take advantage of such a marvelous place to visit and get away from the hot city. It's breathtaking up there!!! Is it winter yet? It's a great getaway in the winter too. There is snow up there which is fun to play in!

Each summer, Harkins has their Summer Movie Fun pack. For $5, you get to attend 10 not-so-recent movies. I invested in the Loyalty t-shir and cups. I get free popcorn with my t-shirt and 32 oz. drinks for $1 each. This program is geared to families. Adults are not admitted without a child.

Early Morning Retreat

I'm from Virginia and this is my first summer in Tucson! While I'm truly enjoying the humidity free climate, the heat can be a bit overwhelming for a first timer. My summer treat is to get up just before sun rise, recline on the balcony with a glass of fresh brewed tea. The colors, the sounds of the birds and the sweet aroma from the tea ensure a great start to my day.
