Benefiting the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona
94.9 MIXfm’s Thanksgiving on the Mayflower 2011 took place on Thursday November 17th from 5am – 7pm at Sunflower Market on 1st and Limberlost to benefit the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona and Tucson showed it's amazing powers of charity and kindness.
It was an amazing, awesome day for the Community Food Bank at Thanksgiving On The Mayflower. OVER $226,000 dollars was collected. Special thanks to everyone who gave any amount and to Tucson Electric Power for doubling the dollars donated to get it to that massive total. ALSO over 6,000 pounds of food items were donated which will make a LOT of families very happy this holiday season.
