Meet Yvonne Waer this week's Ben's Bells Bellee! Yvonne was nominated by the Waer Family for the unconditional love and care she expresses to her community. She works part-time at the Davis Monthan Air Force Base Post Office. During her off time, she crochets blankets in varying sizes. This craft is a joyful commitment to help others in need. She pours her heart into her beautiful work and then delivers the blankets around town, with no expectations of thanks. Some recipients of her work include Arizona Oncology, Casa de los Ninos, Casa Colina, Park Ave. Rehab, and many friends and family. Each crocheted blanket is attached with a note simply saying, "Please accept this gift and may the blankets give your patients/clients warmth and joy with the love in which they were created". Yvonne is developmentally disabled (from birth) and her family encourages her love and passion to give and help others.
If you know someone who spreads kindness within the Greater Tucson or Phoenix community, nominate them for a Ben's Bell! bensbells.org
