Meet Michael Tamarack this week's Ben's Bells Bellee! Michael was nominated by Charles Brugler, the President of Entre Amigos, for his dedicated volunteer work. Entre Amigos is a social group for people with developmental disabilities. Michael has volunteered for the organization since 1999. He helps set up the meeting room, prep salads and other items for dinner, serve the meal, clean the kitchen, take down all of the tables, and put them away. If Michael did not volunteer for Entre Amigos, Charles would have had to stop this group, due to his own disabilities. That would affect more than 20 “GROUPIES” who have regularly attended the dinner for many years. Michael also volunteers with a developmentally disabled man he knows in a variety of ways. He takes him to Entre Amigos, monthly dances at Armory Park, and other events in Tucson. Michael has no car, so he either walks or uses the bus. He even volunteers in battling “Buffalo” grass, recycling and oh, so much more! Entre Amigos and the greater Tucson community are BLESSED to know him and his LOVE!
If you know someone who spreads kindness within the Greater Tucson or Phoenix community, nominate them for a Ben's Bell! bensbells.org/kindness-education.
