Kristen Felan nominated Tammy for building a legacy of people committed to child safety and is deserving of that recognition.
Tammy Lorich served the community as a dedicated champion for children and families in the child safety arena for 25 years. Tammy’s non-judgmental yet accountable approach is contagious and sadly overlooked at times. Her sincerity makes her easy to relate to among a number of diverse individuals and families who reciprocate the respect she shows. Tammy encourages insight and understanding as to what truly provides for child safety, and what to consider when exhausting all resources to assist families during their healing process. The manner in which she conducts her work in child welfare will be carried out by those who have had the opportunity to be mentored by her, or who have had the opportunity to bear witness to her unconditional dedication in insuring child safety and healthy families.
Her retirement will be a great loss to the child welfare system but her legacy lives forward in the many lives she has affected.
